At Paws Patrol Wickford, we don’t let bad weather rain on our parade. Come rain or shine, we remain dedicated to the well-being of your pets. On wet and rainy days, rest assured that our commitment to providing quality care persists. We’ll ensure your dog is not deterred by a little precipitation – they’ll be towel-dried, leaving those muddy paw prints a distant memory. Your pet’s comfort and happiness are our priority, even when the weather is less than ideal.

In the fortunate event of warm weather, rest assured that your pets’ safety is our top priority. We diligently monitor temperatures to ensure their well-being. If we deem it unsafe to walk your dog due to the heat, we opt for a home visit instead. During these visits, we keep them well-hydrated, provide bathroom breaks, and shower them with cuddles and engaging brain games.

Our preparedness extends with our team carrying water at all times. Additionally, we have cool mats, fans, and an air-conditioned van, ensuring your pets stay comfortable and refreshed during the warmer days. Your pet’s health and happiness are paramount in every weather condition.

Our approach to off-lead walks prioritizes your dog’s safety and your peace of mind. During the meet and greet session, we thoroughly discuss the possibility of walking your dog off-lead. This decision is made only with your written consent and assurance that you feel comfortable with the arrangement.

Here are the key points of our off-lead policy:

1. Consent: We only proceed with off-lead walks with your explicit written consent.
2. Our Leads: We use our own leads for off-lead walks.
3. Identification: Your dog must wear a harness or collar with the correct legal information (name, house number, phone number).
4. Recall in Public: In public settings, great recall is essential.
5. Closed Field Sessions: For closed field sessions, no recall is required; a friendly sociable dog is all that’s needed.
6. Information Tags and Long Lines: We attach our information tags to your dog’s collar/harness and have 30, 15, and 10-meter long lines for dogs who may need additional control.

Our commitment is to provide a safe and enjoyable off-lead experience tailored to your dog’s comfort and your preferences
